The Bunbury Open Carnival is in its 48th consecutive year and is a great way for WA clubs to compete together in a regional setting. The South West Sports Centre has excellent facilities and swimmers will enjoy competing in our fantastic 10 lane, indoor pool.
Make the most of the weekend! Why not stay overnight? There are many great attractions in Bunbury and the beautiful South West to make your weekend complete. Please don't hesitate to contact our club for accommodation recommendations.
Warm up starts at 8:00am with the meet commencing at 9:00am.
Medals will be awarded to the three fastest male and female swimmers as follows:
- each division of the 50m events, 100m events and the 200m individual medley;
- each event of the 50m multi-class, 200m backstroke, 200m breaststroke, 200m freestyle and 1500m freestyle; and
- each relay event.
Divisions shall be: 9-10yrs; 11-12yrs; 13-14yrs; 15-16yrs; and 17yrs & over.
All events will be conducted as timed finals. The mixed open 1500m freestyle will be limited to one heat only (the first 10 entries will be accepted). Please get your entries in early!
SPLASH AND DASH INFORMATION
EVENT 3, 9 and 14 are the Splash and Dash events. For the comfort of our youngest swimmers, all Splash and Dash events will be held in the morning. In line with SAL guidelines, medals will not be awarded to 7-8 year old Splash and Dash entrants. The event entry fee has been reduced accordingly.
10 Sep: Technical Officials - We now have enough officials nominated for the day. Thank you for your consideration in wishing to nominate. There are many Club run meets in the South West that struggle for volunteers and we ask that you consider volunteering at these other meets. Thank you.
